The Last Dinner Party is a British indie rock band from London, founded in 2021 as The Dinner Party whilst studying at University. It gained cult popularity during a year (2021 – 2022) of playing London’s independent gig venues, attracting Management and PR deals and a recording deal with Island Records. They began recording at The Church, London Studios in Crouch Hill, with James Ford. Early in 2023, they announced a change of name to The Last Dinner Party, to avoid confusion with Terrace Martin, Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper and 9th Wonder’s Dinner Party project.
This is Prelude to Ecstasy: Covers and Acoustics, a 2LP limited edition on Amber vinyl, housed in a beautiful gatefold sleeve featuring new artwork.
