Beatrice Kristi Laus – known as Beabadoobee – is a Filipino-British singer-songwriter born on June 3, 2000, in Iloilo City (Philippines), known for her nostalgic blend of ‘90s-inspired alt-rock, shoegaze, and bedroom pop. Born in Iloilo City and raised in London, she began recording music in 2017 with her viral track “Coffee.” She followed with a series of lo-fi EPs—Lice, Patched Up, Loveworm, and Space Cadet—that showcased her raw, diary-like songwriting. Her debut album Fake It Flowers (2020) marked a shift into grunge-infused rock, followed by the collaborative Our Extended Play (2021), co-written with The 1975’s Matthew Healy and George Daniel. In 2022, she released Beatopia, an ambitious, genre-blending record rooted in dream pop and introspection. Her third studio album This Is How Tomorrow Moves (2024) debuted at No. 1 in the UK, further establishing her evolution from lo-fi beginnings to indie rock prominence.
