Richmond Fontaine was an American four-piece rock and alternative country band, based in Portland, Oregon. Active between 1994 and 2016, they recorded eleven studio albums, four live albums and two EPs.
Richmond Fontaine’s 8th album We Used to Think The Freeway Sounded Like A River, is Richmond Fontaine at its strongest with Willy Vlautin taking over a year to write it, most of it autobiographical. The CD was originally released through El Cortez/Décor Records in 2009 and this is the first vinyl release from Décor (previously released in 2011 by Diverse in a limited pressing). This was the band’s last album recorded with JD Foster and is still seen as one of their strongest. This disc is in a limited edition of 1000 copies on 180g gold colour vinyl, with a printed inner.
