Jethro Tull is a Grammy Award winning British rock group that was formed in 1967-1968. The group’s music is marked by the distinctive vocal style and lead flute work of front man Ian Anderson. Initially playing blues rock with an experimental flavour, the band has, over the years, incorporated elements of classical, folk and ‘ethnic’ musics, jazz and art rock.
The 50th anniversary edition of JT’s debut album, recorded at Sound Techniques Studio, Chelsea, London. Thursday 13th June to Friday 23rd August 1968. This release was remixed to stereo by Steven Wilson.
Steven Wilson – was born November 3rd 1967 in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England. He is best known as the founder, lead guitarist, singer and songwriter of Porcupine Tree, but is also involved with many other bands and musical projects, both as musician and producer, whilst also maintaining a solo career. He is also known as a successful sound recordings restorer, overseeing re-mastered versions of classic albums by Jethro Tull, Ultravox and others.
