Otis Clay (born on 11th February 1942 in Waxhaw, Mississippi, USA, died 8th January 2016, in Chicago, Illinois, was a soul and blues singer. He moved to Chicago to start his career, where he sang in gospel groups. In 1965 he was signed by One-derful. When this label folded in 1968, he moved Atlantic’s Cotillion and then in 1971 to Hi Records. He recorded through the 1970s and 1980s on other labels. He was one of the 2013 inductees to the Blues Hall of Fame.
