Hugo Montenegro was an American orchestra leader and composer of film soundtracks, born on 2 September 1925, New York City, New York, died on 6 February 1981, Palm Springs, California.
First released 1974, this reissue was for Record Store Day October 2020.
These are Hugo Montenegro’s arrangements and interpretations of the songs of Stevie Wonder, featuring musicians Tom Scott, Larry Carlton, Carol Kaye, Wilton Felder and Hal Blaine. Stevie said “You have taken what I write, play and sing about to even higher level of expression. Thank you for letting me into the world of Montenegro.”
