Ian Robins Dury – Ian Dury – was a singer, songwriter and actor born May 12, 1942 in Harrow, Middlesex, England. He died of cancer on March 27, 2000, Upminster, London, England. He was bandleader of Kilburn and the High Roads and The Blockheads, with whom he made several hit records. His son Baxter Dury is also a musician and recording artist.
