Playgroup – this is NOT the Trevor Jackson early 2000 project, but a collective, based in Bristol and London. Drummer Bruce Smith created the project. Playgroup is the so-called English version of Jamaican dub., featuring Crucial Tony, Sean Oliver, Style Scott and percussionists Eskimo and Bonjo I.
The genre-spanning music was first released on the Cherry Red label 1982.
