The Damned is an English punk band formed in 1976 in London by Dave Vanian (vocals), Brian James (guitar), Ray Burns aka Captain Sensible (bass then guitar), and Chris Millar aka Rat Scabies (drums). The group was the first British punk band to release a single (New Rose in 1976). They turned to a more psychedelic and gothic sound in the 1980s.
Limited edition reissue on yellow vinyl for National Album Day 2022. The photo is to promote the album for the event; the cover doesn’t have the purple border etc.
