Qasim Naqvi is a Pakistani/American jazz drummer, percussionist and composer, possibly best known as drummer in the trio Dawn of Midi (an American acoustic ensemble from Brooklyn, New York. Other group members are bassist Aakaash Israni and pianist Amino Belyamanian). When he’s not on tour he creates original music for film, dance, theatre and international chamber ensembles. His most recent works delve deep into the timbres of analogue synthesisers and orchestral configurations.
